Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment instead of lost in the worries of our minds. Ruminating about the past or anxiously anticipating the future leaves us feeling tense, stressed and unsure of ourselves. Mindfulness can help to pull you out of this rut. We can teach you tools, techniques and “ways of being” from the mindfulness tradition that can help you to clear your mind and tap into the vitality of the present moment. Meditation is one way to cultivate mindfulness by choosing a focal point for the mind and attempting to focus on it for an extended period of time. This creates discipline for the mind, increasing our ability to have access to a place of peace inside of ourselves during stressful times.
